I mean, it was 75% off last weekend, anybody else pick it up on Steam? My PC wasn't even supposed to run it, but I get smooth gameplay on medium to high settings, so, go figure.
I'm not gonna lie, this is some of the best fun I've had with racing games in a long while, though, to be honest, I haven't played a lot of racing games lately.
Anyways, for those actively playing, how's your championship so far? I'm playing full weekends and GPs, no driving aids, save for medium TC (fucking Xbox controller) and medium difficulty, which actually makes for a pretty dramatic season. Signed up with Williams, qualified mid-pack in Australia and took the win after Vettel brushed against the FW35 sidepod and lost his front wing in the process. Then came a P2 qualifying followed by a second place in Malaysia, a P8 followed by a fifth place under rain in China and my first pole followed by a win in Bahrain. Would be cool if the real thing was this wild.

I bought it, haven't even installed it yet though. I did play it on PS3 for a while, but I can barely manage GT with the dualshock, so F1 was out of the question...

I hate them, you need a lot of time to get the feel with the controller for F1. If i played it with tcs off id spin off when exiting corners

Oh man, I racked up the hours in no time shortly after launch, but since then with work and whatnot I haven't played much. I usually only have time for the quick sessions of a FPS multiplayer game rather than the hours that I would love to put into this. The tweaking, learning the tracks by driving them over and over again to find more and more of those subtleties, obsessing over the meaningless 1/10th of a second that won't make a difference cause you're in a Caterham.... man I love this game.
Fairly certain I'd be an excellent racing driver... but I love Ben and Jerry's too much.

Yeah, that's what happened to me. With the wheel and pedals, though, I can handle it fine.

Id like one, but i dont know if i should spend on it, and also because id like to have a real seat for it, but also right now im looking at some Raxiom tailights for the mustang, not sure if i should spend on them too, i really like them, but the money... I dont know if i should, because i say to myself, i will never be able to see them when im driving

That's how mine is too, unfortunately. I keep it under the desk most of the time. I can't really settle into iRacing for less than an hour at at time, so it gets used about every other weekend.
